Maldon Museum & Archives historic home. The building housing the collection and archive is an historic gem in its own right. It was constructed in 1859 under difficult goldfields’ conditions and commenced life as a Market Hall.
Over the years various additions and changes have been made to the structure as it’s been adapted to new uses. Some time ago, numerous early accretions were removed and some much-needed maintenance work carried out.
During 2015 and 2020, further maintenance work was completed to address the rising and falling damp then plaguing the exterior walls of the building. Discover more …
