Our Centre houses an extensive collection of Maldon District records, images and reference material which may be useful for your research.
All resources are available for onsite use only and the Centre is not able to lend to Association members or the public. Film & fiche readers/printers and scanners are available, however internet access is not.
Our researchers are volunteers, and all research fees received are used for collection care and resource improvement.
Location: Old Shire Hall, Maldon Gardens, 93 High Street, Maldon, 3463 (behind the Visitor Information Centre).
Open hours are Fridays 10am until 2pm and other times by appointment. Please call or email to make arrangements and confirm availability of our research volunteers prior to visiting, especially if you are coming from out of town.

Fees: You may search the records onsite for a fee of $10 per hour, plus copying charges of 50c per sheet for paper-based records and $1 per sheet for film-based records.
If you are unable to visit the Centre our researchers can do the work for you. The fee will be determined when we have an idea of your requirements and how much background information you can supply. Typical turnaround time for this work is around one month and the fee around $50. The research results will be emailed or posted to you.
PLEASE NOTE: the Centre will NOT open when the North Central Fire District has a fire danger rating of Code Red or Extreme. See the CFA Fire Danger Ratings map for current data. (This page will open in a separate window.)
